Virtualized media production pioneer will also debut new live broadcast media functions for its Aperi App Store

Camarillo, CA, September 9, 2019 – After recently securing more than $10 million (USD) in funding, the pioneer of virtualized media live production Aperi will demonstrate its latest software-defined IP media workflow innovations at IBC 2019 (stand 2.C30). These include the differentiating true Virtualized IP Media Edge solutions driven by its container-based V-Stack® Software Hypervisor for ultra-low latency media functions and new live broadcast media functions available in the Aperi App Store.

Aperi will present live, real-world demonstrations illustrating the advantages of true container-based virtualization of live media workflows. Visitors can also see live demonstrations highlighting advanced IP flow monitoring, alarming and logging, combined with a full array of resiliency and security protocols – a key focal point for Aperi at the show. Aperi will also have a complete set of compression codecs on display, including 4K TICO, JPEG 2000 and H.264.

“Whether at sports venues, inside OB vans for live sporting events or providing remote production solutions via high-availability transport of high-quality media services across networks, Aperi offers the most flexible platform in the industry,” said Aperi CEO Joop Janssen. “With floating, metered licenses, we’re enabling service providers to scale and reallocate resources on demand, almost instantly and at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.”

At IBC2019, Aperi will also launch a highly compact multi-format auto-sensing DVB-ASI or SDI to IP gateway function app that delivers standards-based encapsulation of ST 2022-2 and ST 2022-6 flows in an auto-sensing fashion, allowing content to play directly into IP-based workflows.

Aperi will also show fully integrated Network Address Translation (NAT) and firewalling (or policing) for both SMPTE 2022 and SMPTE 2110 IP flows controlled by leading orchestrator and NMS providers using Aperi’s open, powerful and intuitive RESTful APIs.

With Aperi, service providers, rights holders and broadcasters can quickly adapt to changing market conditions and work faster, more efficiently, and at scale for the lowest-cost and most-agile remote production. The combination of Aperi’s true virtualization and its unique container-based V-Stack media hypervisor-based approach delivers low-latency media processing for both centralized and de-centralized media networks.

IBC attendees can see the Aperi software-based IP ecosystem and full range of live media functions at stand 2.C30.
